Lake Almanor 2013

The Green Family's 24th year (or maybe 25th?...does anyone really know?) at Lake Almanor was a success! We love being a part of a fun-loving, goofy family that has so much love for each other.

Jake and I love the peace that this place brings as we spend a week away from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life. We especially love being able to share this beautiful lake with Calvin.

This year, Calvin understood the concept of a piñata. He was a bit confused about the idea of being allowed to hit something (since Jake and I encourage him not to hit), but once he got over that he was all over hitting the piñata.

Calvin's favorite part at the beach was to break the rule "No Throwing Rocks." Oh great. He is already on the lifeguard's bad side.

One of our favorite highlights of the week was enjoying some water sports out on the boat. This was Calvin's first time tubing! He absolutely loved it.

Another adventurous highlight we loved was watching Grandpa Green enjoy a motorcycle ride with Uncle Eric.

Calvin had so much fun playing with his 2nd cousins. They all loved climbing all over the playground like little monkeys. Grandparents and Aunt and Uncles liked to join in on the fun, too.

Taking a photo with all the great-grand kids was the most traumatic event of the week. They really did like each other! I promise!

We love coming to Lake Almanor. And we can't wait until next time!

  1. ok, that was weird. I posted it and it did it twice, so I deleted the extra and it deleted both...
So I'll try again and if it's still there, oh well. You love me and always want to hear from me and hear my priceless opinions!
What a fun week and great pictures!!
I think the great-grandkid picture is my favorite. I love that it's so candid and really them. Posing is overrated! This will make a lot more people laugh and reminisce than any posed, perfect picture will!! Love it!!!

  2. No worries! And yes! I love hearing from you :)
That great-grandkid photo was the funniest and saddest experience of the week! And definitely my favorite, too! I think Jake's grandma will laugh :)
