July 24th: Pioneer Day...only in Utah.

What? Two holidays in the month of July?!?! That's crazy. We're not complaining! We spent our holiday relaxing and going to the Pioneer festivities at North Park in Provo. We love hanging out together as a family :)

Calvin LOVED the petting zoo. I think he liked figuring out what a goat looks like in real life (compared to the goats he sees in his picture books).

Calvin was initially terrified of this little donkey. But he warmed up quickly.

Then we took a tour at the Pioneer Museum! I can't imagine traveling long distances in a wagon like this...those pioneers amaze me.

To top off our day, we ate at the BEST mexican joint in Provo. Jake and I have been searching for the best mexican place in Utah for YEARS!! And we can honestly say that this hole-in-the-wall place is IT! Our quest is over.

This is our first and last Pioneer Day! The day was wonderful. This holiday should really consider permeating down to Arizona and California. Two holidays in July is a great idea.
