We've got some NEWS!!! Here's a glimpse into our lives the past couple months...enjoy!
In the month of February, Jake and I found out the best news of our lives! We are going to have a baby!!!! We are absolutely thrilled. The due date is the end of October. Luckily, I'll be graduating from BYU in Exercise Science by the following April. I'm sure that managing a new baby and being a full time student will be a little difficult, but we just can't wait :)
In March, we enjoyed a family night at Derek (Jake's cousin) and Libby's wedding reception! They are so perfect for each other. Welcome to the family Libby!
Here's a shot with Grandpa Green...
and with Grandma Green and Kayla (Jake's sis).
In April, Jake got rear-ended at a stop light. The damage to the car effected the motor mount, rear axles, and cosmetic damage. The final diagnosis ended up costing more to fix the damage than to just total it. So, yes...our car was totaled. Luckily, we were planning on selling the car soon anyways...so by getting a check in the mail for a little more than what the car was worth was truly a blessing :) Today, we're cruising around in our 1999 Honda CR-V. My favorite part is that it's manual :)
In the month of May, we celebrated our 1 year anniversary!! Yay for us :) We went out to eat at Carraba's (an italian restaurant we both had never been to...it was so yummy!) and I made a plate of strawberries dipped in chocolate (which we devoured instantly). Overall, it was a perfect day.
For memorial day weekend, we took a spontaneous trip to Rexburg, Idaho where we finally got to meet the soon to be Mrs. Jeff Bean, Alyssa! She is just the cutest thing ever. I am excited to have her join our family. Our first morning in Rexburg, Jake and Jeff got to work on Alyssa's car to help it run better. With some sweat, blood and hard work, Jeff and Jake got it running more smoothly!
Jake, Annelise and I then met up with our cousin Jamie, her husband Tyler and their adorable lil one Avery! First of all, isn't this red head just the cutest kid eating spaghetti!
We all headed to Rexburg's Nature Park where we enjoyed the sun, played at the park and fed the over-fed ducks that were not too interested in our bread.
Afterwards, Annelise, Jake and I headed to BYU-Idaho campus. Jake had never been before! So I showed him my stomping grounds and Annelise showed us the new improvements to campus. My favorite place on campus is the garden. When I went to school there, I purposefully planned my classes so that I could walk through it. Everyday, I walked by this sign that reminded me to smile :)
...and here's Jake's favorite spot in the garden.
Overall, our visit to Rexburg was a much needed trip to visit family and to catch up with friends. What a great weekend.
As for the month of June, we are enjoying the sunshine :) This morning, Jake and I hiked the Y!!
Even our baby came with us (19 weeks pregnant)!
Jake climbed on another cool rock where he dreamed about paragliding...
And then we made it to the top! Yayy!
Stay tuned, everyone! There will be more updates to come :)
Congrats Britt! You're going to be a GREAT mom!!!!
