CA Trip: Nicole!!!

My friend from Middle School (who lives in Florida Keys now) reached out to me,
"Hey there! I've been thinking of you lately and I'm not sure how plausible this is but Ryan Wyatt and I will be in California (very close to Tracy) in mid June. I can't express how much I would love to see you and meet your family! Are you near that area or going to be that time? Hope all is well!
NICOLE"
So we made it happen :)

I'm so glad we did! It was fun catching up, meeting each others' families, and watching our boys play together. We're not going to wait another decade to get-together. See you again soon, Nicole!

Happy 6!!!!!!

We don't often go out on a one-on-one date (we'd much rather be with our boys), but every once in a while we go out on our own - especially for an anniversary! Our night consisted of:
Bobby Q BBQ - Delicious andSO MUCH MEAT! We were in a carnivore kind of mood.
Mini Golf - Jay Z vs. Twila B - reminiscing about the past 6 years.
Arcade - 3 stories of awesome games. Vintage, classic, and new. We loved Mario Kart racing.
Grocery Shopping - prepping for Sunday + cash for the babysitter.

I'm so grateful to be happily married to this man. We're certainly not perfect, but together we make a pretty perfect team.

Keeping up with the Joneses

The Jones family came to town! Hanging out with them at Aunt Janet's house brought back many great memories from our childhood.  I'm grateful to catch up and watch our own little ones make memories of their own.

Oliver's 18 Month Check-up

This kid. What am I going to do with him?
He screamed the entire time. Literally. I don't even think the doc could hear his heart beat! To be honest, the easiest part was the actual administration of the shot. Can you believe that? How exhausting.
That kid. What am I going to do with him.

Calvin's Primary Talk

Jake LOVES to be involved with Calvin's primary talks. I enjoy watching how they spend all Sunday morning exploring the topic together in many different ways: through stories, scripture study, watching mormon videos, and drawings. At home, Jake helps Cal memorize what he's going to say. But when he's at the stand presenting his talk he gets really shy and Jake helps him out. They're a great team. And I love seeing Calvin learn and understand the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Baby Luna is coming soon!
Since Stephanie an Chris live a mile north from us. I'm grateful that I'll be able to see Luna often and see how I can help the new parents out. Their lives are going to drastically change! And I can't wait :)

Brittney's Solo Trip to Utah

Why did I travel all by myself to Utah? To help throw a baby shower :)
Michaela & Quinton are having a baby girl! Yayy!
Due Date: March 29th
Becca, Marissa, Lisa and I whipped together the cutest babyshower ever :) We had lots of fun planning it out and being together in celebration for Michaela + baby.
While I was there, Becca scored me some tickets to the Provo Temple open house. That was amazing! I loved walking through and feeling like I was taken back in time to the late 1800s. Gorgeous!
I'm so excited to meet this bundle of joy :) Can she come out now?!

Baisie Maise Rae

YAYY! We were so excited to meet her! As we were anticipating the Blomdal's arrival, Calvin kept calling her, "Baisie Maisie Rae" and the name stuck their entire visit.
Wow - the boys even semi-cooperated for a photo! They must have really liked their new cousin.
We had dinner with siblings + families where Annelise & Andrew met Stephanie for the first time and Chris & Stephanie met Maisie for the first time! Love our family :)
Grandma & Grandpa Campbell were giddy to meet Baisie Maisie Rae. They love to cuddle the little ones.
And of course I was so excited to meet her, too. I'm going to love and spoil this little girl the rest of her life. Get ready, Baisie Maise Rae!

Grammie Bean's Visit

We always have fun when Grammie Bean comes to town. Calvin waisted no time and had Grammie play his new favorite game (Mario Kart Wii) the moment she walked in the door.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch at Windsor with Grandparents and Courtney! We loved visiting with her, too.
We explored the train park in Scottsdale for the first time. So awesome! I have a feeling we'll be back many, many times.

A Grammie Bean visit is never complete without some chocolate chip cookies. She spoils him.
Thanks for coming, Grammie! We love you! 'Til next time :)

Ollie the 1-year-old

I can't believe Oliver is 1!!! Where did the time go? I am so grateful that he is strong, healthy and that he's got a nice round head :)
We celebrated Oliver's birthday on Sunday (the day before his actual birthday) so that some family could come over. Uncle Chis, and GiGi & Papa Campbell celebrated Ollie's special day with us. They loved watching Ollie eat make a mess of the cake.
Oliver loved eating cake. Especially the chocolate frosting.
Ollie wasn't interested in opening presents (most likely because he didn't understand what to do), so Big Brother Calvin happily volunteered to show him how.
Oliver loved all of his presents...for about 5 seconds each. Typical 1-year-old.
However, Oliver especially loved this toy from Uncle Chris. It makes music with flashing lights, he can unlock doors, and play with little farm animal figures. A 1-year-old's dream. Unfortunately, whenever Calvin tried to play with it Ollie threw a BIG FIT! Geez! I guess it's not a 1-year-old party unless there's some crying, riiight?
Overall, Oliver had a blast. And he loved all the attention :)
The next morning (Oliver's actual birthday), Jake made pancakes with chocolate chips! Ollie devoured them.
For a lot of the day, Oliver was PASSED OUT! I think he was still exhausted from all the partying he did the day before.
Happy Birthday, little one! Thanks for joining our family. We love you!
